Arctic, alpine, and Antarctic tundra are geographic regions where tree growth is scarce due low temperatures and short growing seasons, with tundra typically referring to areas where the soil is permanently frozen. This was especially prevalent during the peak of the last glacial maximum, as a massive mammoth steppe—the Earth’s most extensive biome—stretched all the way from Spain across Eurasia, bridging over the Bering straight through Alaska, the Yukon, and reaching Wisconsin!

This model features a midnight-black dial surrounded by dark walnut wood to reflect the mighty mammoths and fall vegetation of this tundral terrain.
