This product has a 0.03 μm surface plating of platinum. Platinum is the most valuable precious metal in the world, and worth even more than gold.
Via the platinum plating, the refined metal takes on the same characteristics as platinum, in addition to its silvery look. It doesn’t tarnish, is harder than gold, and generally doesn’t show signs of wear, even as a plating.
During the process of plating, a layer of platinum is applied to the basis structure of 316L surgical stainless steel and both metals are thereby connected inherently and inseparably.

It originally comes from Central and South America, because only FSC-certified wood is used for our products. The colour of mahogany is usually light to reddish brown and turns dark brown over time.
