Originating over 600,000 years ago on the eastern coast of Sicily, Mount Etna remains one of the largest and most active volcanoes in Europe; moreover, with 3,329 meters, it is about two and a half times the height of Mount Vesuvius.

In ancient Greek mythology, Zeus trapped the deadly monster Typhon under Mount Etna, whose depths were also said to be home to the legendary forges of Hephaestus.

With a distinct combination of black marble, padauk, and rose-gold stainless steel, our Etna model is an easy reminder of this great mountain's volcanic rock and streams of molten lava.
