That's where everything started for Holzkern. That's why, to this day, many of our products are made almost exclusively from this material! Depending on the type of wood and growing conditions, the grain can vary greatly, giving each wooden element its own unique aesthetic. On top of that, your unique model made from wood not only looks good, but is also very lightweight, providing an incomparable wearing comfort.

A piece of Hawaii for your wrist! Koa wood comes from the South Sea paradise and is one of the most popular woods in the world due to its unique grain. In its homeland, the wood is used to make surfboards and ukuleles, for example. The detailed surface texture, combined with golden to reddish brown colours makes every object made from koa wood a real eye-catcher. Exotic wood with character. Zebrawood is a unique and incredibly beautiful type of wood. It owes its name to the special striped pattern, which makes our accessories extravagant eye-catchers. The wood comes from the tropical rainforests of West Africa, and we only use FSC-certified wood for our products.

Our Metal-Core technology has been especially developed in order to make our watch constructions with natural materials even more durable. With timepieces that have this special type of construction, the clockwork is encased in an airtight metal jacket that guarantees a waterproofness of up to 5ATM.
We thereby unify the best of two worlds: natural diversity of materials & the longevity of our designs.
